Tomorrow Theater

3530 SE Division St., Portland, OR 97202

PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow is the globally renowned media arts extension of the Portland Art Museum in Portland, Oregon, expanding cinematic storytelling in all its forms—including film, television, new media, audio storytelling, gaming, and XR immersive arts.

Unbound from expectation and bursting out of the box of what cinematic storytelling can be, PAM CUT creates the future of media arts by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Serving over 65,000 audiences annually, each PAM CUT program brings together one-night-only offerings, combining at least two art forms—and audiences—in its bold, innovative programming.

PAM CUT’s mission is to change for whom, by whom, and how cinematic stories are told for audiences and artists who are not content to be contained. Through a “cinema unbound” approach, PAM CUT produces over 400 unique exhibitions, screenings, Co: Lab media arts education programs, artist services, and special programs each year at its three locations: Portland Art Museum and PAM CUT @ The Whitsell, PAM CUT Downtown, and PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater on the city’s east side. PAM CUT also hosts the annual Cinema Unbound Awards, honoring internationally acclaimed artists who push the boundaries of what’s possible. This West Coast cultural highlight celebrates visionary creators who redefine cinematic storytelling and media arts.
