Commission New Music
Be a part of the future of chamber music by joining our Chamber Music Northwest Commissioning Club! Club members help select and commission one composer annually to create a new piece of music. You’ll get to be a part of the creative process from inception to the world premiere performance.

By giving CMNW stock, mutual funds or other securities, you get both a tax deduction and avoid capital gains taxes!

IMPORTANT: Do not sell your securities to make your gift yourself, or you will be required to pay capital gains tax on the sale.
IRA Distribution
If you are over age 70½, you can give up to $108,000 annually, completely tax-free, directly to charities from your IRA as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
Your QCD should be made by instructing your IRA manager to make the gift directly from your IRA to a charitable organization such as Chamber Music Northwest. They will send CMNW the gift on your behalf.
IMPORTANT: Do not withdraw the funds from your IRA to make your gift yourself, or you will be required to pay taxes on the distribution.

Oregonians who contribute to Oregon cultural nonprofits, including ours, are eligible to make a matching donation to the Oregon Cultural Trust and receive a 100% tax credit for their Trust donation—up to $500 for an individual or $1,000 for a couple filing jointly. Join the movement and help us Make Culture Count!
Local Merchant Community Giving
Ask your local merchants if you can designate Chamber Music Northwest as the beneficiary of their Community Giving Program. Fred Meyer and several other local stores donate a portion of their sales to community nonprofits such as Chamber Music Northwest.
