Reed College, Kaul Auditorium

Kaul Auditorium is a state-of-the-art auditorium with superb acoustics that can accommodate up to 699 people located on the Reed College campus in Southeast Portland, approximately 10 minutes from downtown. ADA seating is available on the main floor, but is not available in the rear riser section.
PICNIC UPDATE: No personal/outside alcohol beverages are permitted. These items can be purchased from the caterer, Bon Appetit, beginning at 6pm. Happy pre-concert picnicking!

ARRIVING BY CAR:
Parking at Reed College is free. Reed College has three parking lots. View a campus map. Please, do not park illegally or in bike lanes on SE 28th and Woodstock Avenues, or you will be ticketed or towed.
- West Parking Lot (enter off SE 28th Avenue, between Botsford Dr. and Woodstock Blvd.)
Approx. walking time: 2-4 minutes.
The West Lot is located immediately adjacent to Reed College’s Performing Arts Building and Kaul Auditorium. After parking, follow the sidewalk that curves uphill around the south side of the Performing Arts Building leading directly to the entrance of Kaul. Alternately, make this 250-yard walk easier with elevators and air conditioning through the Performing Arts Building, which will deposit you at the top of the slope nearer to Kaul. OTHER PARKING OPTIONS INCLUDE:
- North Parking Lot (enter off Steele, between 33rd Ave. and 33rd Pl.)
Approx. walking time: 4-8 minutes. After parking, head south and cross the footbridge, and follow the path west toward Kaul (the Student Union and Gray Campus Center will be on your right). The path is fairly level and makes for a very attractive walk.
- East Parking Lot(enter off Woodstock, between 36th and 38th Aves.)
Approx. walking time: 5-10 minutes. After parking, follow the footpath west, making your way past the library, Eliot Hall and Gray Campus Center. Like the path from the North lot, this route is level.
- Woodstock Blvd. Approx. walking time: 10 minutes. Limited curbside parking is available on Woodstock between 28th & 32nd Aves. Please, do not park illegally or in bike lanes, or you will be ticketed.
ARRIVING BY TRANSIT
- TriMet Bus: Line #10 to 28th & Steele (NW corner of Reed campus) or Line #19 to 28th & Woodstock SW corner of campus). Approx. walking time: 5-10 minutes
- TriMet MAX: Orange Line, SE Bybee station is 1/2 mile from the Reed campus. Approx. walking time: 15-20 minutes
- TriMet LIFT: Patrons with limited mobility using TriMet’s LIFT service may also be dropped off at the Kaul Auditorium entrance using the Botsford Drive entrance to the Reed campus.

Please detail your mobility needs when ordering tickets. Do you prefer to watch from your own wheelchair/walker, or transfer from your mobility device to a seat? Maybe you can walk to a seat, but not climb stairs, or can climb fewer than three stairsteps? Are you hard-of-hearing, and/or low-vision? ADA Parking
- Patrons using canes, walkers, crutches, and others with limited walking mobility who are not able to be dropped off at the entrance to Kaul are advised to park in the North or West Lots. A shuttle van from the North Lot, and a golf cart shuttle from the West Lot only will begin service to Kaul Auditorium at 7:00 pm and will run every 10 minutes until 7:50 pm. Taking the shuttle ensures the shortest walking distance.
- Wheelchair users are advised to park in the West Lot, located immediately adjacent to Reed College’s Performing Arts Building and Kaul Auditorium. There are 6 ADA parking spaces in the West Lot. From the parking lot, enter the main entrance of the Performing Arts Building. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor, and use the bridge at the east end of the building (“East Bridge”) to exit towards the picnic lawn and Kaul. Be aware that this distance is 700-800 feet.
- Patrons with limited mobility who will be driven by a companion or car service may also be dropped off at the Kaul Auditorium entrance via Botsford Drive. From 28th Ave, enter Botsford Drive, take the last right at the end, pass under a portico, unload in front of Kaul, then turn back around to park in the West Lot.

The Performing Arts Building and Kaul Auditorium entrances and exits are fully accessible and equipped with automatic swing doors. At the main entrance to Kaul, please look carefully for automatic door push button on the red brick pillar.ADA Restrooms
