Daniel Phillips, violin

Violinist Daniel Phillips has appeared as soloist with orchestras across the country including the St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Houston Symphony orchestras, as well as with the Bern Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the 92nd Street Y, the Kennedy Center, and other celebrated concert halls throughout the world. Mr. Phillips is a member of the acclaimed Orion String Quartet, with which he recently performed the complete Beethoven string quartet cycle at Lincoln Center. The Orion Quartet also has appeared at the Spoleto, Mostly Mozart, Chamber Music Northwest, and Santa Fe festivals. Currently solo violinist of the Bach Aria Group, Mr. Phillips is a violin professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, and at Purchase College Conservatory of Music in New York. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, flutist Tara Helen O'Connor.
