Martin Hebert, oboe

Martin Hebert was appointed principal oboe of the Oregon Symphony in 2006. He has held that same position with the Florida Orchestra, the Savannah Symphony, and the Mexico City Philharmonic. He has also performed with orchestras of Pittsburgh, Honolulu, and Atlanta.

In addition to orchestral playing, Martin has been a featured soloist with the Florida and Hilton Head orchestras, the Mexico City Philharmonic, the Savannah and Minería symphonies, and the Beaufort Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed with many chamber music festivals and ensembles.

Mr. Hebert has recorded with the Mexico City Philharmonic on Decca, and with the Atlanta Symphony, most recently on their Grammy nominated recording of Vaughan-Williams Symphony No. 5 on Telarc.
