About CMNWNow in its 43rd season, Chamber Music Northwest is the West Coast's leading presenter of chamber music, producing up to 80 concerts and events annually. CMNW's flagship Summer Festival presents programs of top international caliber in Portland's premier performance venues for five weeks of activities that include both main stage and casual "Club" concerts, plus free outreach and educational events.

Since 1980, CMNW's artistic director has been David Shifrin. The artists invited to perform at CMNW range from rising stars to veterans, and are among the most sought-after soloists, chamber musicians and recordings artists in the world.

With a year-round staff of six, CMNW has an annual budget of $1.2 million, and has operated under a balanced budget since 1980. After 33 years of leadership, Linda Magee has recently stepped down as executive director. Until a successor is announced, Elizabeth Harcombe will act as CMNW's interim executive director.
