Three distinguished artists and friends, who formed a trio in 2003 while they were in residence at the Aspen Music Festival, bring us an evening of string trios by Beethoven and Schubert, and duos by Beethoven and Ravel. Collaborating in some sublime string repertoire, they demonstrate their obvious pleasure in playing together as well as their individual artistry and mastery. Violinist Robert McDuffie is a Grammy-nominated artist with a busy international career, violist Lawrence Dutton plays with the renowned Emerson String Quartet, and cellist Ralph Kirshbaum performs world-wide as a soloist, chamber musician and recitalist.
