Notice of Cancellation:
With regret, we announce the cancellation of our February 14-15 concerts with the Guarneri String Quartet. We have been notified that violinist John Dalley must take a leave of absence during January-February 2009 to undergo cancer treatments. We send him our sincerest wishes for a successful treatment and quick recovery.
However, we are pleased to let you know that these two concerts will be able to take place instead during the opening week of our 2009 festival next summer, with the same programs. The Beethoven program (scheduled for February 14) will be presented on June 25, and the Brahms program (scheduled for February 15) will be on June 27; both will take place at Reed College in Kaul Auditorium.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and trust that you join all of us in extending our best wishes to John Dalley for a fast return to good health. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

In its final season capping an extraordinary 45-year career, the Guarneri Quartet shares one of their last performances with the CMNW audience in two special programs celebrating late Beethoven and late Brahms. On the Saturday concert are two of Beethoven’s last string quartets, and on Sunday they are joined by two guest colleagues for the two monumental last quintets by Brahms.
