Returning to the CMNW stage after their acclaimed 2009 summer recital, the superb Colin Carr and Thomas Sauer duo offers a festive all-Beethoven program for cello and piano.

Apollo Trio

In cooperation with Reed College’s 2011 ROMP! symposium, this concert of music on Jewish themes features the world première of David Schiff’s klezmer-inspired “Borscht Belt Follies,” and highlights the eastern-European and American connections with Jewish music over six decades.

Tetzlaff String Quartet

German violinist Christian Tetzlaff, one of the most important artists of his generation, formed his quartet in 1994 that is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the world’s most fascinating ensembles. The Quartet makes its Northwest debut here in Portland for this memorable concert of Haydn, Mendelssohn and Sibelius.
